Why Glenn will knock off Rush and Hannity

The following is not an exact scientific or mathematical rationale for why Glenn Beck is destined to rule the Talk Radio world…. but mainly utilizes the brilliant insight of the author (of course).

So here’s what I’m suggesting: a few year from now (maybe 5-7yrs) Glenn Beck will rise above the ranks of Michael Savage, Laura Ingraham, Sean Hannity and even the great-one - Rush Limbaugh. And I mean in talk radio audience. (He’s arguably already #3)

First my qualitative reasoning:
-he’s funnier
-he works harder (with perhaps the exception of Hannity)
-great team around him
-very like-able… and can even reach those in the middle that appreciate common sense.
-committed to his cause (beyond the money, fame and power)
-as he changes personally..his opinion may change - just like a real human
-he listens to others
-he’s less predictable

Ok, now for some quantitative stuff:
-already has a giant talk radio audience and has grown it at a crazy rate
-because of his talk radio time-slot he will not have to take Sean or Rush’s audience, but can grow against weaker competition
-Captured a giant Fox News audience following despite his very poor time-slot
-His internet presence is unmatched from what I can tell… well over 1,000,000 newsletter subscribers & has the biggest facebook following
-His ability to pull off giant live events - as recently witnessed in Washington
-Talented in other media formats: internet broadcasting, live shows and magazine

Now of course I could be wrong about all of this…
but let me leave you with this. Listen to a few hours of Glenn’s show, then try listening to the “other guys” and tell me Glenn’s not better. I think you’ll agree. As always I welcome your thoughts in the comments section below. Please hit “Like” as well - to help spread the word.

WXTL 105.9 FM Talk Radio in Syracuse NY is a radio broadcasting station located and licensed to the city of Syracuse, New York. The station serves the central New York area and brands itself as “The Big Talker”. The station operates on the 105.9 MHz frequency with an ERP of 4,000 watts. The station is affiliated with Citadel Media and Dial Global. It is currently owned by Citadel Broadcasting and has a number of sister stations including stations WNTQ, WAQX and WSKO.

WXTL 105.9 FM Talk Radio in Syracuse NY was earlier known as station WLTI in early 2000 and branded itself as “Lite Rock 105.9” or simply “Lite 105.9”. The station back then adopted adult contemporary music as its broadcasting format.

It was not until March of 2010 that WXTL 105.9 FM Talk Radio in Syracuse NY began switching to the news talk format and donned its present slogan “105.9 The Big Talker”. The stations present programs now include news/talk shows hosted by the likes of Gary Nolan, Mark Levin, Doug McIntyre and radio programs like The Bob & Tom Show, The Stephanie Miller Show and The Dave Ramsey Show just to mention a few. WSPT Talk Radio AM, Stevens Point WI is a radio broadcasting station licensed to the city of Stevens Point, Wisconsin. The station serves the people in the Wausau – Stevens Point Area. Branding itself as NewsTalk 1010, the station operates on the 1010 kHz frequency and uses 1,000 watts of power for its daytime broadcasts and drops to 10 watts for its evening programs. The station’s call letters stands for “Stevens Point” and is affiliated with Jones Radio Network and Fox News Radio.

WSPT Talk Radio AM, Stevens Point WI is currently owned by Americus Communications, LLC. It first aired on 1948 and was originally known as station WTWT. It was then changed to WSPT when it started adopting a Top 40 music format. The station’s call letters were changed again to WXYQ when the station began airing country music. It was not until June 7, 1996 that the station adopted its present call letter as WSPT.

The station operates on the 1010 kHz frequency with 1,000 watts of power during the day and 64 watts at night. The station’s call letters stand for “We Serve Pfeiffer College” and is affiliated with CBS Radio, ABC Radio and Premiere Radio Networks. It is currently owned by Stanley Communications.

The roots for WSPC 1010 AM Talk Radio in Albemarle NC can be traced back to 1946 when the station first started out as WABZ operating from the Albermarle Hotel. One of its notable DJ personalities was Lee Kinard who had been with the station since 1949. He started out doing janitorial work for the station and worked his way up to becoming a DJ and producer until eventually; he co-owned the station in 1952.
