Bill Bennett, born William John Bennett, is a popular American conservative pundit, political theorist, politician and, of course, Bill Bennett Radio Show presenter.

The Bill Bennett radio show, better known as Morning in America, is a nationally syndicated program, and one of the only syndicated conservative talk radio shows available during the morning drive time.

Bennett is best known for his book The Book of Virtues: A Treasury of Great Moral Stories, Which he edited. He has also authored no less than ten other books, including Why We Fight: Moral Clarity and the War on Terrorism.
Career:
Bill has enjoyed many demanding jobs in his lifetime; serving as the United States Secretary of Education between 1985 and 1988, and held the post of Director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy under George H. W. Bush. William j Bennett, has also been director of the National Humanities Center in North Carolina.
Education:
Bennett was raised in Brooklyn, later moving to Washington D.C where he enrolled in the Gonzaga College High School. He moved on to get a Ph. D. from the University of Texas in Political Philosophy, and has a J.D. from the Harvard Law School.
In the News:
Though Bill is no stranger to presenting the news, he is rarely featured in it - even during his time in prominent political rolls. Recent revelations about his gambling habit have spurred discussion about conflicts with his conservative viewpoint, and in 2005 he was embroiled in controversy regarding comments made about abortion as he was a talk radio host.
