Dennis Miller is a 5 time Emmy award winning stand-up comedian, actor, political commentator, sports commentator, and radio and television personality. He has spent many years as a radio and TV host, gaining fame on Saturday Night Live and later hosting a string of talk shows on CNBC, HBO and on the Dennis Miller radio show.

All the way back in the early 1980’s Miller hosted “The Trolley Show,” this irreverant mixture of comedy and news was aimed at teenagers, and ultimately directed the course of Millers career from this point onward. In 1985 Dennis found a home on Saturday Night Live where he succeeded Christopher Guest as the Weekend Update anchor. Miller left the show in 1991 to focus on his radio show.

Miller has written five tomes: The Rants, Ranting Again, I Rant, Therefore I am, and The Rant Zone. These were based upon his standup comedy and TV monologues.

Education:
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania was Millers home throughout his childhood, growing up as he did in the Castle Shannon suburb. He graduated Keystone Oaks High School in 1971, then chose to major in journalism at Point Park University.
