Rush may not have invented talk radio, but he has paved the way for the industry becoming a major player in American news and politics. If you listen to big names like Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck - they pay homage to the clear-cut King of Talk Radio. Over 600 radio stations from KFI on the west coast to WABC on the east coast - you can hardly find a place where you won’t hear Rush on your radio dial.

Before there was Fox News, before “extreme” conservative news and views had a place on television - Rush made a go of it and had some real success. Well success in that he pulled ratings, but the networks ended up putting him in ridiculous time slots. While he has given up on TV long ago, there are some pretty good clips of him available on YouTube.

Rush doesn’t hide the fact that he doesn’t have a college degree, but somehow he’s managed to learn a few things along the way.

Over the years Rush has been a major news story himself. From his brief stay on ESPN, his drug addiction, his delightful interference of the Obama/Hilary race - the media can’t seem to get enough of him.
So to sum it up: When you look up talk radio in the dictionary there’s a bright color picture of Rush Limbaugh looking right at ya! AM radio (and FM too) wouldn’t seem right without The Rush Limbaugh Radio Show on radio stations all over the “fruited-plain”.

we would like to get the call letters and number on the dial for am and fm stations in the virginia and north carolina area. we travel out from our local station area sometimes and cant pick up the whole program.
