Women are just as intelligent and knowledgeable as men, but their voices don't have the same depth and strength as men, and they sometime strain to speak with affirmation.

Laura Ingraham speaks with a strong voice; but rarely, at times, when she overdoes it, she needs to give her voice a rest. Maybe men do, too.

Great question and interesting answers! Though, I agree with #3 and the first part of #31. Its simply a matter of time before more women will become national talk show hosts... especially after we elect the first woman president in 2012 =)

The likely reason that hosts of talk radio programs are mostly male is due to the demand for material which is essentially male orientated. Politics, finances, and sports are dominated by male figures and play heavily into more male conversations then female conversations.

Competition and success is basis upon which a vast majority of males are judged by females when selecting sexual partners, so by natural selection males gravitate towards involvement in these subjects. Having a greater vested interest in these topics results in greater exposure and knowledge, males are then likely to be a majority of the hosts for radio talk shows with male orientated subjects.

I just can’t stop reading this. Its so fresh, so filled with updates that I just didn’t know. I am delighted to see that people are in fact writing about this subject in such a elegant way, presenting us all diverse parts to it. You’re a fine blogger. Please carry on with it. I can’t wait to read what’s after that.

Fine information, many thanks to the author. It is puzzling to me now, but in general, the usefulness and importance is overwhelming. Very much thanks again and good luck!

Thought provoking question. As an author-intuitive, I've been a guest hundreds of times on talk radio shows. And you're right--just a handful of female hosts have greeted and grilled me.
Interestingly though, for the past year I've been a phone psychic for an international network and the bulk of our advisors are women. So there you go with a balance.
Personally, I feel women have a soothing, magnetic appeal, especially if their voice has the right sound matched with the right energy. Also, a team of a man and woman is the best of both worlds.
